The parents of Kouzuki Miyu, a
14-year-old middle school girl, have been hired by NASA. Without further
ado they take off to America leaving Miyu with their long-time family
friend, Saionji Houshou, the monk and caretaker of the Saion Temple. Shortly thereafter, the monk decides to go on an one year pilgrimage to India leaving Miyu alone with his son, Kanata.
More complications arise when an alien baby, Ruu, and his cat-like babysitter pet, Wannyaa, make an emergency landing in the temple. To make things worse, the alien baby starts calling Miyu and Kanata mom and dad, showing ESP powers, and the ability to levitate. What will Miyu and Kanata do, when help from Ruu's home planet is one or two years away?
